Virginia is buzzin’
Virginia has been breeding ground for some of the best up and coming unsigned talent! Here are the State’s best unsigned bands:

There’s so much going on with this band, we’ll just give you the facts:
- Sales: 41,000+ iTunes singles (in 2007, March-December) and 5,000+ physical copies of their EP “Anywhere But Home”.
- Live Draw: Consistently selling out Top 10 Washington, DC Area Venue “Jammin’ Java” (10 times and counting).
- Licensing: The song You’re Making It Come Alive was placed in MTV’s “Newport Harbor” and How To Call A Bluff was featured on the Ernie Ball “Battle Of The Bands 10” Compilation.
- Tours: Played the Ernie Ball stage at Warped Tour 2006, the Tooth & Nail stage at Cornerstone 2007, and has opened for: Yellowcard, Hawthorne Heights, Augustana, Mute Math, Copeland, Cartel, Gym Class Heroes, All Time Low, Anberlin and Lovedrug. The band also toured the East Coast in the Spring of 2007 with The Morning Light (Fearless) and Between The Trees (Universal).

- Radio: Weekly airplay on DC101
According to Dave, the band’s lead singer, the group has recently also been casted for a reality TV show. He says, “The idea is to partner a label with a network and a bunch of different brands to create this gigantic MFH entertainment enterprise. ”
These guys are gonna do huge things in the future! They’ve been getting label attention for about 2 years now, and it’s only a matter of time until the right label makes them an offer they can’t refuse.
Buzz Track: Murder On The Radio (last song on the music player).

These guys played 4 weeks on last year’s Warped Tour and seem to be constantly on the road. And the work is starting to pay off. Parade The Day already sold over 4,000 copies of their indie release. Listen to Now I’m Awake…

If you work for a major label, you need to sign this band! With the right label and management behind them, these guys could become a HUGE smash among teenage girls. We’re hearing at least two potential radio hits! Check out Thursday Night Pregame and That’s What She Said.

This band formed last year but already managed to create a huge buzz. They played a show with breakout pop-punk band All Time Low last weekend and have tour dates coming up with Baltimore’s The Hint, including an industry showcase at NY’s Knitting Factory. Listen to Reeved and Ready.
Other notable mentions:
Courage Call: Great pop-rock filled with catchy hooks. Currently in Los Angeles recording a full-length album. We love the track Change Your Mind!
Conditions: Touring the UK with Paramore and New Found Glory at the moment. Buzz Track: Keeping Pace With Planes
Boys Will Be Boys: Another relatively new Virginia-based band. They currently only have one song available on their music player, but you can hear that this band has potential! Check out the song Word On The Street.
