T. Mills, who we first featured in September 2010, has signed to Columbia Records. The deal was done by President Ashley Newton, and A&R’s Mark Williams and Harley Wertheimer. Mills’ publishing is signed to APG/Atlantic through Mike Caren.

Adelitas Way score #1

Adelitas Way have topped the Active Rock charts with their song “Sick“. Congrats to the band, who was first featured by us in May 2008, prior to getting signed by then Virgin-head Rob Stevenson.

Dirt Road Anthem is a hit

Jason Aldean’s “Dirt Road Anthem” is currently #9 on the iTunes Charts and peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week. We first featured the song 2 1/2 years ago when we discovered the original writer and performer, Brantley Gilbert, who was unsigned at the time.

Gilbert also wrote “My Kinda Party”, which became a gold-selling #2 country hit for Jason Aldean in 2010.

Parmalee sign to Stoney Creek

Parmalee, who we featured in August 2010, have signed to Nashville-based Stoney Creek Records.

The label is part of independent record company Broken Bow Records, home to country stars Jason Aldean and Thompson Square.
