Lamberg named Head of UMPG

Evan Lamberg has been named President of Universal Music Publishing Group, North America. He previously served as EVP Creative for UMPG’s East Coast division.

Lamberg will jointly report to Universal Music Group chairman & CEO Lucian Grainge and UMG president and chief operating officer Zach Horowitz. Prior to joining UMPG, Lamberg spent 17 years at EMI Music Publishing where he served in various positions, including EVP of Creative, North America.

Gotye signs to UNI Republic

Gotye has signed a North America deal with Universal Republic. The singer/songwriter scored a huge hit in Australia with his single Somebody That I Used To Know, peaking at number one for eight weeks. The song features Kimbra, who was featured by us in December 2010, prior to signing to Warner Bros.

Joe Brooks will be showcasing at Webster Studio in NYC on October 4th. He recently self-funded his new EP thru Pledge Music in one of their fastest campaigns to date, then licensed it to Sony in Korea, where it debuted at #1.
