Brantley Gilbert writes #1 hit

Jason Aldean is currently having a #1 country hit with “Dirt Road Anthem”, a song we discovered and featured over two years ago, originally co-written and recorded by Brantley Gilbert (pictured above), who was unsigned at the time.

Another song that Gilbert already had when we first featured him is “My Kinda Party”, which also became a massive hit for Jason Aldean last year when the single reached #2 on the Billboard country charts.

Gilbert was recently signed by Scott Borchetta, who runs Big Machine Records and Valory Music, home to Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Trisha Yearwood, and Reba McEntire.
